Encouraging Employee-Led Charitable Action

Cypark facilitates employee engagement through strategic collaboration with charitable partners such as Kloth. The initiative encourages staff participation in volunteering activities focused on clothes and fabric recycling, promoting sustainability and social responsibility. Through this partnership, Cypark successfully diverted 406 kg of unwanted textiles from landfills, contributing to carbon reduction and waste minimisation. This effort underscores the company's commitment to fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and meaningful employee involvement.

Cypark continues to facilitate employee engagement and volunteering through collaboration with charitable and government partners, including the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT). In support of Hari Cuci Malaysia at Pantai Cahaya Negeri, Port Dickson, Cypark employees volunteered in a beach cleaning programme to promote environmental stewardship. Cypark also provided refreshments to all volunteers and the public, reinforcing its commitment to community collaboration and collective action for a cleaner environment. This initiative reflects Cypark's dedication to fostering a culture of volunteerism and partnership-driven sustainability.

Human Rights

At Cypark, we uphold the principles of human rights as an integral part of our commitment to Sustainable Human Capital Management. Our Human Capital and Administration Department ensures that the Group employs, develops, and retains a skilled workforce through continuous learning and fair employment practices.

We are committed to maintaining fair remuneration, adequate rest, reasonable working hours, and compliance with acceptable labour standards. The Group promotes employee well-being through various programmes and initiatives, fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace for all.

In line with our commitment to ethical labour practices, the Group strictly prohibits the use of child labour and forced labour in any form across our operations and supply chain. Beyond this, Cypark also supports children's rights through programmes that promote education for youth within our communities. These initiatives reflect our belief that every child has the right to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

In alignment with the Children's Rights and Business Principles and international human rights standards, we commit to respecting, protecting and supporting children's rights and well-being across our operations, value chain, and communities.

Guided by internationally recognised human rights principles, including those enshrined in the International Bill of Human Rights, Cypark integrates respect for human dignity, equality, and fairness into its employment and operational practices. This approach reinforces our responsibility to uphold ethical conduct and protect the rights of individuals and communities we engage with.

To uphold these commitments, human rights and labour practice risk assessments have been carried out to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential risks across our operations. We ensure fair and transparent processes that safeguard employees' rights to be heard in matters relating to performance management, disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and succession planning.

As part of our continuous improvement, the Group will enrol managers in training programmes on handling reports or instances of bullying and harassment, ensuring that such matters are addressed with sensitivity, fairness, and in accordance with company policies.

Through these efforts, Cypark Resources Berhad strives to create a work environment built on dignity, equality, and respect, while also contributing to the protection and advancement of children's rights within the broader community, supporting our long-term sustainability goals and ESG commitments.
